Some good news about the moving situation!!!

My mom went to West Virginia on a bus trying to find a house there for us, while my sister and I stayed here to get rid of the furniture. It sold well. We sold nearly everything. I was literally carrying stuff out to the van preparing to hit the highway when we got word from Mom saying that the cost of living was outrageous out there and she was coming back.
This was taken with a mixture of gladness, shock and distress.
I don't have to ditch my friends! But I have practically
no furniture.
I don't have to put >1300 miles on my van! But we already told the landlord we were moving.
Also, I had already been signed out of school, turned in my books... Everything's a mess. Seeing as we did all this preparing to move across the country, and now we're not, we all unanimously decided that we're moving somewhere. So Mom told me and my sister to go to the next town- about 6-10 miles from here- and start searching. About 2 hours and a chat with a friend of mine later, we found a house. The new place is huge, and a real nice place, too, but it's out in the sticks. There was nothing I could do to keep the van clean. 1 trip out there, and it turned from blue to grey.
Since this is equally far from Sulphur and Davis, and I told everyone in Sulphur that I was to move, we decided to stick me in Davis schools. My 5 year old niece is planning to finish her year at Sulphur, then come to Davis next year.
I'm very happy that we don't have to leave here... The van would definitely not pass the inspections where Mom wanted to go... My friends are glad we're not leaving, too. Even though I can't hang out with them at school anymore, there's still after school.
Anyway, I've gotta go now, we're still hauling our junk out to the new house and we're about to take a load.
