Dyslexic want to work on that

Post by 1Gary »

My whole life I never realized I have had the problem of being dyslexic.Yrs ago in a late night chat Firecakes told me as I posted more,my typing would get better. She was right. But I proof what I post because it seems the same words I switch the same letters all the time.Along with this very slow computer, dial up and then proofing........it is very frustrating. The yrs of posts have proven that I am convinced I have a problem.

I don't know where to begin to get help to solve this.Firecakes being a special Ed teacher I am hoping she see this and can suggest where I could go to get help, but I am open to any suggestions.Thanks.

Don't feel bad about it. I'm dyslexic myself, but lots and lots of practice (and tons of proofing) have trained me to not switch the letters around that much. Still, I mix up some words and numbers, but it's not too bad. Just keep practicing your typing and convince yourself that you can do it. Eventually, it gets better!

Funny thing #1:
You can wtrie the wrdos any way you wnat, as lnog as the fsrit and lsat ltteres are cerroct. And taht you use the lrettes taht is in the wrod. And sitll you can raed it. So if you can raed tihs, tehn yuor haed is scwered on as it slouhd be, and the bairn fnuctoin is prpoer.

Funny thing #2:

:-$ Our brains are just faster than most peoples, I'm thinking "step 2", "step 1" has been desseminated and forgotten.
Dyslexia is just a label for slow people to feel better about themselves.
