Nice pic, TLess, did yu take it?
Gray whales came into Bellingahm bay a few years back for almost two months, it was awesome. We'd paddle right out into the middle of the bay and eventually they'd swim directly underneath us only a few feet away.

Awesome pic! The ocean is really interesting when you really try to learn about it. There's some strange fish down there, that's for sure.

I would probably freak out.
I heard that they usually don't attack humans, but still... It's bigger than me, I can't swim, and it has teeth. Lots of teeth. Need I say more?

No, I wish. The photo is from The Province newspaper (see the link above the photo).
We get Gray whales and porpoises sometimes too. All the way to the end of Burrard inlet. I saw Humpbacks off the coast of Vancouver Isl as well.
