QUACK!

Post by CaptSquid »

Normally this time of year, Montana is reasonably dry. Some bits of rain, but dry. Well, we've been getting hammered by the rains. The ENTIRE Southeastern corner of the state is under water and major highways are closed due to flooding. We're almost 6.5" above normal in rainfall. The ground is saturated and can't absorb any more.

If the people down in Louisiana and Mississippi think they're relatively safe after the river crests, they're in for a surprise! The Yellowstone River is a MAJOR contributor to the Missouri River.

Seems weather patterns everywhere are shifting a bit causing unusually harsh seasonal issues with fires, floods, blizzards etc.

Yeah, what's with the weather lately? :-k Last night we had like eight tornadoes in the state. A couple of them came pretty close to here, and north of us there was some pretty bad damage. I was beginning to get nervous...
