Just saw on the news that Toronto to London Canada is running into gas shortages.You guys running out of gas??.

Only Shell stations and those independents who get their gas from the local Shell refinery. The refinery had some regularly scheduled maintenance which has run beyond its scheduled time, so it has been closed. They are apparently working on getting it up and running as fast as they can (yeah right). This is just the fallout of the continuing trend to close refineries to supposedly save on costs. In reality I think it is meant to reduce supply and thus drive up the cost of gasoline and other refinery products. I'm a little skeptical in this area.

I kinda thought the same thing and then gas dropped $0.07 / litre over the next 3 days. BTW the Shell around the corner from me was closed from Sunday until last night and operational again when heading to work this AM. Maybe it's been sorted out.
