Bad drivers

I was on my way to school this morning when I came up on the East side of a four way stop. A pickup truck pulling a trailer was on the West side of it with their left blinker on, and they were there before me. They pulled out incredibly slowly... Both the occupants were laughing and talking, probably not paying attention. In the time it took for them to even get out in the intersection, another pickup pulled up on the South side of the intersection. I was getting bored over there because the truck and trailer was still turning... Woulda thought they would speed up by that point, but they didn't. Finally, they got out of the intersection. Me and the truck on the south went at the same time. We both stopped. They waved me on... Looked like they were having a seizure... It was more of a "get your $#@ out of the intersection" kind of wave than a "go ahead, friend," wave. I went. About the time I got into the middle of the intersection, they got tired of waiting, and floored it. Since I was right in front of them, I did likewise, but I had my rear seat out and there wasn't much weight over my drive wheels. They spun. I wasn't speeding up too quick. Meanwhile, as I peeled out in the intersection, the truck kept going, and I was pretty sure they were about to slam into me when I got some traction. I had to swerve to the right as I took off just to keep from being hit, and in doing that I almost hit the curb on the other side of the intersection.
What's up with drivers these days?

dunno,
I cant tell you how many people have tried to keep me from changing lanes. they poke along a few lengths back, then when you put the signal on they floor it. then when they almost hit the tow hitch they slam on the brakes. I've had people do that to me when I get on the highway too. they''ll be doing about 60 until they see me passing them on the on ramp (I accelerate to 70 when I get on)- then they gun it and try to keep me from coming on the highway. and usually its someone in a compact import.

I directed traffic (read: I chased cars with a flag) at the tractor show last Friday.
People don't really listen too good. I had one come through and fly right past me, and I was literally standing within arms reach of it. I ran alongside with the flag, waving it right next to his partially open window, shouting "WHOA!" and he kept going. Other people couldn't understand the concept of pulling in to a spot... ](*,) I kept trying to guide them in and we had people turning around and going nuts trying to back in instead of pulling in forwards like we told them. Another person came in the exit. You have to pay to get in, and there's no pay booth at the exit, but he wouldn't go out and go up to the booth. Eventually he drove on to another traffic director. This one apparently didn't know that he came in through the exit. I asked him and he said the guy told him his leg was bad and drove away up to the vendor parking.
Also, on the motorcycle this morning, I was slowing down to make a left turn and my gut feeling was finally right for once! I had a real bad feeling about this truck behind me, so I moved over onto the center line as I slowed, and sure enough, the truck blasted right by me, still in my lane.
