Any advice for Halloween pranks?

Me and my friends are wanting to do some pranks this year for Halloween, but we only have a few ideas. Web searches gave us some more, but most of the pranks you can find online are just glorified attempts at vandalism.

A friend of mine wants to get a cardboard sign, write "Free candy" on it and tape it to the side of my van, then drive around a rich neighborhood. )>)
I'm sure a bunch of soccer moms aren't gonna laugh when they see a bunch of teenagers driving a dark colored van through their neighborhood with that sign on it.

Any ideas that won't get us arrested/killed, but still funny? We're wanting to do something big, but something that everyone- even the victim- can laugh about.

Why do you want to pull childish pranks at your age?

best advice I can give you: don't do pranks. all a bunch of teenagers driving around in a van and doing shady stuff at night is going to do is:
A: get one of you guys injured
B: get somebody arrested
C: get shot at because someone thinks you ARE vandalizing their property.

and I'm dead serious about all 3 of those things.
as for the "free candy" van:
people will call the police on you because they think you are a bunch of pedophiles (not everyone "gets" the joke). and the police won't really care if it was a joke or not. they'll still throw you and your friends in jail.

That's basically what I told my friends. I'm not doing that. They still want to.

I'm not wanting to do "childish pranks," I'm wanting to do some kind of prank that's genuinely funny. It's hard to find ideas for genuinely funny pranks online, which is why I thought I would ask about it.

Search "Just for laughs gags" on youtube. Don't listen to these guys... gags are always funny if you have a sense of humour.

Just remember that blowing something to bits is not funny to who ever owned the item you destroyed. just don't end up in jail and have a good time. Also throwing eggs is not a joke it is vandalism. I always liked the one of stacking used tires over the flag pole at the school then watching them try and get the tires off with out removing the flag pole. its harmless and damn funny watching the janitor cut the tires apart.

get some Roundup and spray a big pony on the football field of your local highschool so that at the final game there will be a huge pony on the field, then go to google earth and post it on youtube.

If you do that make sure you have some free candy to hand out. If you don't one of those kids might shoot you!

After Halloween you should paint "Free STD Clinic" on the side of your van and park it in front of one of these old peoples houses.

:muhaha:

Water bottle over your friends exhaust. Loud boom, but won't hurt anything.

This is probably showing how old I am but in the days before inside hood releases we used to take the left turn signal and hook a jumper to the horn. So that when ever the left signal came on the horn would honk. Great fun at a traffic light when your buddy can't shut the horn off. We also used to do the lowbeam light to the horn but that was before day time running lights.

Not really a Halloween joke but still really funny.
