Seems like the engineers put it in the perfect place for my knee to hit it every time i go over a bump or dip in the road :D

sew velcro onto the inside of the knees on your pants to prevent lateral sway effect.

Some engineers have a sense of humor. The window switch in my 1982 Datsun 280ZX is at knee level. I can't tell you how many times my knee opened the window.

:muhaha: Good thing you're in Florida and not in the rainy northwest.

Apparently Cobra learns faster than I do.

When I accidently hit the button I say in a serious voice "You can never be too safe", and my wife replies "You just unlocked them, they were already locked". Crap.

I never have that problem in the '80. Then again, I always get the switches mixed up and open the wrong window...

When I convert Ole Yellars door to power windows/locks,I am going to build a little diamond plate counsel just ahead of the steering wheel on the window sill so the buttons are out of the way and in plain sight.

I have actually pushed it hard enough with my knee to push the switch into the door...

Glad to know i am not the only one =D> Can any electrical gurus think of a way you could rewire it so there is a delay? So that you have to hold the button down for a second or two before it locks or unlocks...

well, since my drivers door switch has a loose wire, it doesnt work, so that half fixes the problem (I have to use key fob to lock/ unlock doors). but when I ride shotgun, my leg often hits the button
anyone notice how when you're driving a 96+ van, you have to move the seat forward to where your legs cant stretch out just so you can reach the wheel? I also wish the dash was lower like on the old vans so I could look out across the hood.

Happens to me all the time. Kinda scares me too because it's so loud in my van with no interior.

How about the inside door handle? I always seem to be grabbing it when things get bumpy! One day I'm gonna open the door by accident and eject myself!

I suppose if I drove with both hands on the wheel I wouldn't have this problem. :-k
