Post by cengster »

The switch on the drivers side quit workin but the passenger side does a great job! Can I switch them or just get a new switch for drivers side?

Lets properly diagnose the problem first.

Check the wiring, The door jam is where I would start, Famous for breaking there.

Good Luck, Jim

Yup. x2.
I opened up that rubber tube that wires cross over into the door, thru.
5 Broken Wires.
But, I detest electric windows, so I just pulled the pins and removed the door.
I had a spare door with crank windows and ancient school manual locks.
So I threw it on there. Ahhhhh.
Much better now.

I suggest you try to test if power gets to the switch before you replace it..
Good luck.

PS, every single power window I have ever owned has failed at some point.
That always happens during the rainiest winter storm, here in the rain forest.

Click Here: http://db.tt/cXYRpOUp It's in my Dropbox.

It is a complete? wiring diagram for an 03 Astro Van. Don't think much of the basic stuff (door lock wiring) has changed.

Good Luck and use at your own risk. Note: File size is 6.75 mb
