Cool Desert Nights Car Show '12 - Tri-Cities, WA

Last weekend I coerced my family to go with me to the Tri Cities for the Cool Desert Nights car show. I've been wanting to attend this one for a few years, but kept missing it. I would have this year too if it wasn't for a friend posting on Facebook he was taking his Mustang down to participate.
Unfortunately for us... not to mention the car show participants... the weather was far from cooperative. And actually, I kinda screwed up by not heading down to the show a bit earlier in the day. We arrived in the Tri-Cities a bit after noon and went to Carls Jr. for lunch. (The promise of Carls Jr. is how I got my family to go!) As we are stting there eating, I see the storm clouds brewing. And then it rained. I was hoping it was dry across town where the show was, but it wasn't.
As we drove over towards the show, we saw a bunch of custom cars heading away from it. It seems a lot of people were done, even though the 'show 'n shine' was supposed to run for close to another three hours. When we got to the show, there were a lot of open spots. Too bad. Still found some nice rides though.
Late models...
Corvette Z06!
A couple of Ford Gts
4x4s...
Custom Willys wagon with rear steer.
Classic Bronco baby!
A couple of Rat Rods
A few classic muscle cars
Hot Rods
80s throw-back!
And the 'dare to be different'...
Takin' the last ride in style...
Some Volve V-8 conversions are stealth. This one, not so much!
Pretty neat.
They don't get any cooler than these!
Would love to take this for a spin! Ryan likes Bugs... that may be the 'in' I need to bring one into the shop one day...
I want one of these or an Econoline version!
Imports...
This Subie was pretty cool!
Always waned a 914... with a V-8 in it!
Lotus.
Misc.
Cool old bike.
The Pacific Northwest Vintage Snowmobile Club had a display at the show.
I believe this belongs to a guy I know named Howard Briggs. I bumped into Howard at the show and I know he is into vintage Yamahas.
