Is it possible to swap all of the parts from the S10 axle housing over to the Astro axle housing , seeing as how they both use the 7.625 rears , I know the rotors will have to be redrilled to 5 x 5 bolt pattern , but will the rest swap over ?

Got a sweet deal on a S10 Blazer rear axle with disc brakes,G-80 and 3.73 gears , all of three I want for way less than SSBC's rear disc conversion kit.

Would like to know if this is possible before I go lay down the green !

Some years back I believe it was SoCal V8 tried rear disc brakes. His results were unsatisfactory as he couldn't get the front and rear to properly equalize and work as a team.

Please note that 2003 thru 2005 did have rear disc brakes. They also had 16" wheels.

the guts of the pumpkin should be swapable.
The axles are not the right lengths.
I'm not sure if you could put the S10 disk brakes on the astro housing.
Probably. Lets just say anything is possible if you are a bit motivated and talented.
