passanger seat swivel?

Any seat swivel base that actually works under the passanger seat of an 04 Astro? Making my van more camper friendly, it sure would be nice to have a swivel seat base for the passanger seat. Wife is short so raising the seat a few inches would be a good thing.

Every one I've seen here and at the other site have been custom made. Pretty simple to do if you have the tools and moderate fab skills.
I haven't looked for anything ready made but a likely place to try would be the RV forums.

The swivel on the link I've heard has some fit issues. Maybe it was made for earlier vans? May still be better than starting from scratch. Has anyone used one of these on a later model (04)??

It depends on how tall you are, but I find that the Astro seats already put me much too high in the cab. I have to duck to see some traffic lights when first in line! I can't imagine adding 1.5" of height to the seats.
The swivel listed is fine, structurally (you gotta watch out, I've seen some really flimsy stuff), but IMO it would benefit from a custom seat base to lower the seat back to stock height, or below if you're 6'5" like I am.
If you look at the discount site there's a base listed for late model Ford Econolines. I use those and cut/weld them to the height and bolt pattern and angle I need to get the seat where it needs to be. They're strong enough to handle a seatbelt mount, which is unnecessary in an Astro, but nice to know in an accident. They're made by a company called "kustom fit" and if you can manage to order from them instead of discount van and truck you'll pay 30% the price.

Thanks for that info. The added height would be more a benefit than a problem. My wife is 5'4" and always complains about sitting too low. I'll only be doing the passanger seat.

Late to the party, but see my build thread:

The swivel from Discount Van/Truck can be made to work, but you'll probably want to do some extra fab to make it sit lower.
