Hello AstroSafariVan Members, would like to just say I'm new and this is the first astro van I purchased about 3 weeks ago.
Can anyone point out a good indash radio to replace stock, as the CD is dead..

I forgot to show what my shinny NEW used van look like...
some cosmetic problems but nothing serious, Well, the door looks might need to be changed and maybe need a New catalytic converter as its giving code for a replacement, I've tried running 2 full tank of premium fuel to see if that clears up the problem but not, there's an obvious ordor of burnt exhaust carbon coming into the van.

Welcome!
That's a great looking hi-top.
As for the stereo, I highly recommend getting one of several GM-to-Single-DIN adapters, then pick any single-DIN head unit that fits your needs and budget. The Astro is pretty easy for DIY installation.
I don't have a good picture of mine, but it's a basic older JVC that has good bluetooth support for voice dialing, etc. and was cheap. I used this adapter from Crutchfield:

You'll also need an antenna adapter. Usually, if you order your head unit from Crutchfield, they'll throw in the dash kit, antenna adapter, and wiring harness adapter all included.
Joining the harness adapter to the stereo pigtail is straightforward and easy and can be done either by soldering or crimping with butt splices. (I prefer soldering to keep it low-profile - 14+ splice connectors takes up a lot of room behind the dash).
After that, it's just a matter of attaching stereo to the dash adapter, plugging in the antenna and harness, slide it in, and voila'.
