Should tie rods be replaced in pairs?

Hey guys i was just wondering this. I have an 89 chevy caprice, which is the same front end as the astros, and the threads on the passenger outer tie rod and connecting sleeve got worn down and it popped out. I replaced the inner and outer tie rod along with a new sleeve on that side, i just wanted to know if it would be wise to change the driver side aswell before going to an alignment.
Thanks!

Steering, suspension and brakes, a wise man will always replace in left/right pairs.

Might want to consider that if the tie rods are worn out enough to just pop off, more steering and susp components might also be worn out and in need of replacement.
It would be wise not to pay for an alignment until you replace all the worn out parts.
Be a shame to drive away from the alignment shop and have the old worn tie rods pop out on the way home, or the next week or....
