Re: radius arm idea
What I'd use is toyota fj80. The component are better than land rover :vom: and the axles themselves are strong and wide enough for an astro. I had amassed a bunch of fj80 junk for a Tacoma I had but never made it happen. The radius arms are perfect for a streetable 4x4 that doesn't need mad flex bu...

brake job... which brands of parts to get?
Hi, I'm about to do a brake job on my '00 awd cargo, 5 lug. I want to get everything at one time at rockauto.com but they have so damn many brands and price levels I don't know where to start. I'd rather not get the cheap crap but don't want to go for the most expensive stuff either if I don't have ...

Re: Power steering pump on 2000 AWD astro van
I listed some of the reasons why I think it's worth it to spend the extra dough on the res. version. But to each their own. Mine was a major pain.

Power steering pump on 2000 AWD astro van
The following will chronicle how I removed my power steering pump from my 2000 awd astro cargo with hydroboost and AC. About a week ago I let my GF's friend borrow my astro so she could move her house. then I get the call a day later that the van won't steer or brake. Apparently they were parallel p...

Re: just got a '00 awd cargo
That would be cool man. As of now I'm thinking some pieces of 3x3x1/4 angle plug welded and stitch welded as a base for the attachment point. The bumper will probably mostly be 1.5 sch40 and 1" tube because that's what I have dies for. Ill do a rear bumper first but may not get to it for a minu...

Re: just got a '00 awd cargo
Well that's good to know, is there any real mpg gains to be had by going to s10 stuff, or just the benefits of low range?

just got a '00 awd cargo
Hi, I just picked up an '00 awd cargo. it's got 190k on it but 30k on the transmission. it's been a work van in the past but is in much better condition than I would have thought for the miles. Ive got to do the brakes, trans flush, remove decals, better stereo, pull the running boards, and then I'm...
