Re: need help with radio

pop off the plastic around the dash and radio. It should slide right out i memory serves me. If you arent good with soldering, take the project to your local car audio shop. They could use the biz.

Re: RamJet 350 Swap

What was the part number for that Trans flex plate cover i see in your picks? I've ordered two different and they both didn't fit the 4l60e. I've been driving without one for 40K miles.

Re: V6 turbo - Typhoon & Cyclone

Where can I find a Syclone engine, how much will it cost, and how do I get it into my Astro?? :muhaha: Thats the point. You have one for the most part in a stock Astro. Stock Astros have higher compression so just run less boost. Everyone installs the V8 including me....having done the v8 install t...

V6 turbo - Typhoon & Cyclone

Overview: Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMC_Typhoon The GMC Typhoon is a high-performance version of the GMC Jimmy SUV. Produced in 1992 and 1993, the Typhoon was based on the 1991 GMC Jimmy SUV. Both the GMC Syclone and Typhoon (SyTy) trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C/8 cm2 turbochar...

Re: Speed-O-Motive

.Maybe someone could chime in with what the history ended up to be. Both the GMC Syclone and Typhoon (SyTy) trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C/8 cm2 turbocharger and Garrett Water/Air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48mm twin-bore th...

Re: Engine stall on highway - couldn't restart.

Ever used Seafoam or GM Fuel System Treatment Plus in the van? No this v8 engine (my 2nd) has about 7k on it and the fuel pump / injectors ect were all changed at the same time. ACDELCO I've given up on ACDELCO & NAPA & now MSD. Now im trying dedicated Vortec performance parts. The wires ar...

Re: Speed-O-Motive

"Gotta be dedicated to the v6 tho as dollar per HP is way higher than what a v8 will yeild, but I suppose we all know that" No true. Two words...Syclone & Typhoon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnQn54UNDxE I race so i understand engines....I've also had two v8s in this truck so i speak...

Re: Headers

The "Second time" I used the stock iron 5.7L Vortec headers. I port matched them. Otherwise with the "conversion headers" people use you cant change the plugs and the thin tube headers kept cracking on me. I had to take them out and reweld them multiple times. So i said forget it...

Why would anyone swap a 4.8 or 5.3 ? Do they even fit?

Re: regulater

If you do need new spiders check these out for my V8 ... they also make them for the v6. Cali emission versions. They are Multitec II injectors. I list the part numbers for both on the old astro site...i think.

Garage Floors

http://www.sanitred.com/ Best stuff ive found for basements, roofs and floors. 500sf garage costs about $600.00 in materials and will last for life. Wont lift from heat like crappy epoxy paints from home depot. This price includes filling the expansion joints 100% so the garage is smooth. I got the...

TCC problems?

I have little knowledge about what a TCC's correct operations are. I have a serious driveline shudder when the TCC is locking or locked. When i back off the gas and push it lightly sometimes i can cause the van to shake really bad. Scarry bad. Ive become skilled at ridding out the shutter long enoug...
