Not sure, do you think it would save that much time over hitting you're browsers back button to go back to the "view active topics" list...just curious?

I am not sure if it is just me,but when I hit the back button,it takes me back to the last page and not to the current postings.

I kinda understand what Gary is saying. I don't use "View Active Topics" but do use "View New Posts" all the time. Having the same controls at the bottom of the page would ease moving on to the next topic. If I've just posted to a topic, I have to hit the "Back" button three or four times to get back to the "View New Posts" listing. I can also scroll up to the top of the page and hit the "View New Posts". But if fthe page has a ton of pictures... (like all the good ones do!)... it takes a lot of scrolling to get there. This is why I can see it being handy to have these links at the bottom of the page too.

O.k , I see what you guys are saying. Justice will have to look at that to see if it can be done on the Forum as he looks after the tech side, hopefully it can be incorporated.

If the above suggestion can not be done you could just use the "HOME" button on your keyboard to jump back to the top of the page.

I've Bookmarked the "view active topics" page so I go straight to it, then stay there unless I need to do specific research. Nowadays, I just want to see what you yahoos are up to and it seems to be the quickest way.

I don't frequent my buddie's forum because he has a small active topics or "recent discussions" section that shows about 6 or 7 last post titles, and then it's just enough hassle to search each all the little sub forums to see whats going on. He has since called me a part timer cause I'm not around that site much anymore and I didn't explain why.

I want to see "at a glance" what's going on; if nothing new, then I move on.

I couldn't tell you, though, what I usually do when I get to the bottom of the page... :-k

edit: Hmm, apparently I scroll back up. From now on I'm going to use the "Home" button that loc doc suggested. Thanks.
