water pump re & re

Post by ron02032 »

I was wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on replacing the water pump? Should I buy a replacement from a dealer or is napa good enough? Can you recommend a brand name? The van is 94 AWD Safari, W engine, a/c. Any advice would be appreciated as I am good with a hammer but not so good with a wrench!
Thanks,
Ron

NAPA has a good warrantee program. They're built or remaned by the same people that make OEM water pumps. Save yer bucks, buy NAPA.

Hi I agree with above post. NAPA brand waterpumps will be just as good as dealers. One more thing; while I had all belts off I would change any that were the least bit suspect. Much harder to go back later and change. Make sure you clean mating surfaces well.
Good luck
