Power Lock add on for 1986

Post by allegro »

Hi to all Can you install power locks on a 1986 astro. It has power windows but no locks.
I am fixing up a 1986 allegro motorhome built on astro chassis. Do you think it would be best to get a generic kit or go to junk yard and try to salvage parts from one that had PL's.
Found one or two that had PL's in yard. What years are compatable with 86?
Thanks for any help.

They're allpretty much interchangeable , its just locking solenoids wires & switches . A major PIA to run all the wires , but it can be done . just gotta have more patience than your local doctors office is all . :muhaha: :muhaha:
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.
