Paint

I have 2 questions for everyone.


Question 1: Where is the paint code on a 1994 chevy astro cl. The van is white but apparently there are about 50 different whites.



Question 2: I plan on repainting my hood next year because the gm white paint is dang near all off. I was wondering what kind of prep work needs to be done, what kind of primer, and any other hints. I would really like to do it right and really want the paint to stick and stick good, i have seen some adhesion promotors, but i dont really know if they work.


Any help would be great
