Any info on how hard it will be to change p/s lines on a 94 safari? It will have to be done in my driveway. I had a look at it today and it sure doesn't look as though there is much room there. Any hints on how to make it easier? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. If the weather changes and i can't do it in the driveway, is it ok to drive the van a short distance (approx 1/2 mile) to a garage? It won't hold any p/s fluid at all. It has the hydro boost, if it matters.

Remove the upper shroud, fan, and lower shroud. It is almost easy after that, if you're long armed and flexible you may not even have to get under the van. I'm not either one, so I get the lines off of the pump from underneath.
The cooling loop is a bear to get to no matter what, the valence under the bumper has to come off and I think the grill, could be wrong there. Depends on how many lines you are changing.

I don't think my 89 has Hydroboost, whatever that is.
But I've replaced both the low and hi pressure lines
between pump and steering box. Both were done
without removing any fan shrouds, hoses or
anything else. Both done in my driveway
using normal hand tools.
an 18mm flare nut wrench would be a luxury.
Heck, an 18mm open end would be a luxury.
I didn't have either. I used an actual
WalMart branded crescent wrench. A wrench
that is too LONG is a hassle as it doesn't give you
much rotation before you have to get a new "bite"
on the nut.
I primarily worked from beneath the van
with the front wheels on ramps. Lifetime
guaranteed hoses from Checker. Used teflon
plumbers tape on the threaded fittings.
It's tight, it's dirty, but on mine at least,
it's do-able.
Amsoil ATF for PS fluid.

The RWD without hydroboost is much more accessable. It may be possible without removing the shroud on the AWD with hydroboost, but it is easier with the shroud removed.
