Terrifying experience in traffic today

I was driving a borrowed truck today since the van is still tore down. At a four way stop, it was my turn to go when someone began to pull out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and the pedal went straight to the floor. The truck kept moving. Fortunately, the other car stopped, but by the time I got stopped I was in the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic. I had to get out of the intersection, but the brakes were stuck! I floored it, and the truck slowly moved out of the intersection. The brakes released as soon as I got out of the way of traffic. I limped it home and parked it.

I'm really beginning to hate borrowing cars from people... Gotta wonder if they're trying to kill me.
