Hey all from Buffalo,NY. Glenn here, I’m new to this forum, but not new to GM vans. I previously had a bunch of Astros, ranging from a’92 Mark III conversion to an ‘05 loaded LT. My newest ride is a brand new 2024 Savana LT passenger 3500 standard wb with the L8T 6.6L V8. I waited ten months after ordering for it to finally be built and delivered. It’s loaded up with every non-fleet option available.

Wheels are OE Wheels CV75A 18x8 Sierra replicas with Yokohama G015’s in LT265/60R18E. They’re same diameter as the stock 16’s, but 3/4” wider and 119 load rating (stockers are 120… not enough difference to matter in this application). Center emblems were custom made by a guy I found on Etsy. They have a simulated carbon fiber weave background and came out really nice.

Suspension changes were my first priority to maximize handling abilities.
Bilstein shocks front and rear.
Hellwig 1-1/8” rear sway bar.

Verdict? Ehh, it’s still a 2-1/2+ ton box on wheels, but it’s a n improvement 😂👍🏽

Welcome Copper. You're not the only one I've heard saying that getting new vans can be a pain. So congrats on the shiny new ride.

This morning’s project: installing a PML #11129 aluminum differential cover. The finned aluminum helps keep temps down when towing and the extra .6 quarts of gear oil can’t hurt. A magnetic drain plug and a side fill plug will make future oil changes much easier.

LOL - well, you know that Alum Diff. Cover is good for 5 HP all day !

Wheels are Very Nice and those center caps - would love to get proper or new or different center cap logos for our '92 Astro.
Can you divulge the etsy guy ?

Rear sway bar will surely cancel "some" of the rolling breadbox affect. Never heard anyone complain about one... lol
First truck or Van I've seen with both shocks in front of the axle - M & L Vans having one going forward, one going back.

Is that a closed diff like the G80 back in the day ?

Thanks for the Fine Pics, they're like real clean, rustless 'candy'.

The diff is what GM now calls “differential, rear fully automatic locking”.
AKA: the ol’ G80 Gov-Lok (or Gov- 💣)

I’ll check for the Etsy seller and post when I find him

Edit: I couldn’t find the original seller for the center caps on Etsy, but a Google search shows him selling on Pinterest now.

This Etsy seller seems to have the same products also:
