Black LT AWD

Post by blk lt awd »

Finally got some pics taken today. Figure i'd start my thread with the old pics and current pics and then add as the changes start. I'll start with the two pics everyone's already seen.

i got a question. how come you have so much heat issues you need the slotted rotors? and when you install them which way is the slot going to rotate?

it's not that there's any heat issues....more for the look really......but it also can't hurt that the gasses will be dissapated and aid in better braking.....every little bit helps....

as far as rotation goes i believe the slot is supposed to go in the opposite direction of the rotation of the wheel.....it's something i have to confirm but it's what i've heard in the past.... it may vary by manufacturer so i can always check which is marked left and which is marked for the right......

on a side note....i just picked up an HP photosmart printer this weekend and have been told it included editing software....so when i have figured it out i'll have more pics for you guys....hopefully sooner than later.

I really like that old system set up idea. I'm looking to do something similar. Are there any fabricated modifications to the space beneath?

nothing really had to be fab'd up.......the "box" was strong enough to support the cut out area in the floor once placed in the cut out and sealed. i lined the aluminum with 3/4" MDF to strengthen it further and to make it dense. of course the spare tire winch had to be removed along with the support bar the butts up against spare tire. this wasn't a structural support but just something to keep the tire alligned i believe.

hope this answers your question........if not pm me and i'll be more than happy to help. cheers.

Could I request a pic of the underside of the subwoofer box? I am very intrested in doing this with 3 12"s I have. I still like to take the van on vacation and hate pullin out my box so I have room to put the lugage.
