Drove to Canmore - to spend "Family Day" with family - 4 adult, 2 infants, and 2 dogs (one 90lbs, one 12 lbs LOL) from Calgary to Canmore and back to Calgary - had a wonderful day, nice and sunny, above freezing in the sun. Glorious.....

Grumpy - this past Saturday: Tool transport/parts running while working on Eugene at "The Warehouse". Since the work was taking so long my wife volunteered to drive Grumpy to get dinner. I was kinda in shock cause she avoids Grumpy like it has the plague, but in her defense it's so dirty it might.

Eugene - not a van:Replaced both front wheel hub bearings, replaced the front springs and struts (which included dis-assembly of the old units to reuse the top plates since the use replacement unit's top plates had stripped studs), and passenger side inner CV boot replacement. Discovered that it's possible to undo the CV boot clamp non-destructively by using needle nose vise grips and pulling on the end of the band, cause I forgot to vent the air out of the boot before I clamped it the first time. Wife loves how quiet her Jeep is now and how well it coasts.

Fixed that piece of junk plastic that goes across the cowl, AGAIN. Painted the wiper arms and antenna while they were off. It's a small thing but it does look better. \:D/

Printed this website with the GM Fuel System Treatment Plus.

Took it in to Al Piemonte Chevrolet, where they dropped dropped their price to $18 + tax. Thanks Brad and Joe in parts!

Got home and followed Seafoam's directions instead of the directions on the bottle, cleared Grumpy's code P0302, then took it for a test drive. Code hasn't reset yet.

Phttt! Set code again. Did the procedure a second time, still sets code. Noticed something, the P0302 code only sets if I get off the gas. If I keep my foot on the throttle a little the code doesn't set. Gonna have my wife pick up a second bottle tomorrow and dump the whole thing in the tank. Hopefully that and driving will clear it up. 22 days till the emissions have to be done.

Grumpy Saturday and Sunday: Tear into the upper intake manifold (plenum), trying to diagnose the P0302. Wow, 302k miles = lots of carbon. Cleaned everything, then reassembled swapping the injector/poppet cylinder 2 and 4. The idea being if it's the problem then the misfire should move to the new cylinder. Cleared the codes then when for a cruise. Set code P0302, cleared it and kept going, P0302 reset. Guess my injectors/poppets are fine. ](*,)

Next thing to look at appears to be the exhaust valve. :-s
