The Journey Begins

Post by SpyAstro »

Hey Everyone,
I'm the new owner of 2000 Astro. My buddy bought it brand new and I got it as a gift 6 months ago. He said he was tired of watching me squeeze myself into my 93 s-10 standard cab pick up. I'm building the van slowly as a surveillance vehicle and I'll tell you these over night jobs just got a lot more pleasant. I found this site while looking on how to change the plugs. I guess there was an engineer pissed off that day. I drive 600-700 miles a week sometimes and I'm really impressed so far.
I look forward to becoming part of the community.
I was enamored with it till I had to change the plugs.

Welcome!

(And once you learn the wheelwell 'secret', plugs are a breeze. [Besides, they only need changing every 100K.])

Surveillance vehcle? That sounds interesting. What do you do?

Hey Everyone,
Cheating spouses mostly. I also do child custody and wrongful death. Mainly I'm a surveillance specialist. They use me alot when the sub is looking for a tail.
My buddy just came over and did the plugs, wires, cap and rotor in 50 min. We didn't even take the wheels off. We're going to test fire in a few min. I hope this is it, it's getting fuel and spark but it was just sitting there cranking and cranking. I'll let everyone know.
I was enamored with it till I had to change the plugs.

Astro's must be popular surveillance vehicles.

There was a nice conversion Astro that parked at medical building down from where I work, and according to the shuttle bus driver, they watched the doctors office across the street to get pics and vids of people with fraudulant worker's comp claims. About a month ago, the doctor in that building closed up and moved out of state.

I haven't seen the Astro since.
