DONE! :bounce:

We filled all the fluids, installed a new exhaust and started her up only to find her running like crap. I managed to cross the plug wires for cylinders 3 and 5. Much better after that but still not right. Found a couple spark plug boots that had come loose from the plugs while installing the engine. It was dark out at that point so it was easy to figure that out with the lights off. Better but still not right. Off to get a new EGR valve. Bingo! Now she runs nice! Don't know how we got this lucky but all four bleeder valves broke loose without breaking. Decided to replace all the brakes and replace one of the rubber brake hoses up front since the housing was cracking. Stopped at the tag place and got a plate and took her for a ride. Pretty decent van. No race car but plenty powerful. Spent most of the day cleaning her up and now it's out on the streets somewhere. Next we'll see how the inspection goes. I know it should get a couple tires up front.

So to sum it up, not a bad deal. My kid has a nice looking, basically rust free van with a V8 that has been freshened up with all new seals and gaskets, new cam, lifters and springs, new seals and gaskets on the transmission along with a corvette servo, all new brakes and new exhaust for around $1500. And this time he was with me doing the work during the whole project so he'll probably have a bit more respect for his ride.

Too dark to takes pics tonight. More later.

Looking good. Wish mine was good enough to take for a drive. Then again more time wrenching less time on the computer at god knows when in the morning would help that!
