FNG from Socal

Post by RocKrawler »

Hello, new to this forum - heard about it from T-Low and Herbie over on Expedition Portal and thought I'd check it out. I'm in So Cal, own a 96 AWD Astro with a 4" lift and 31's and building it for camping and exploration. Originally intended on doing a simple setup and it looks like it will end up like most of my previous projects; overkill and more into it than its worth, but we hope this will be a keeper and if so it will be money well spent. It seems to fit us pretty well, and should be more nimble off road that the E350 I sold to pursue this project. I figure it saved me about $7K in conversion costs alone, so I'm ahead of the game even though I gave up my beloved 7.3 Powerstroke diesel. We shall see if I made the correct decision! I look forward to learning a lot from you guys, and I hope to share some of my work.
