Anything to do in Phoenix, AZ ??

Post by Someone »

Flying into Phoenix next week on Monday to pick up a Suburban and hit up a couple of other auctions over the next couple of days to buy a truck and a trailer to get it home with... I assume we are going to have some time to kill, mainly in the evenings....

Is their anything interesting to do in Phoenix? I googled it and the best thing I found was a tour of a helicopter factory... not quited what I have in mind but sounds interesting none the less.

anyone name any good bars... nightlife areas... beaches... points of interest?

I guess any points of interest between phoenix and detroit would be cool...

If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one :)

All very good In my opinion. Definitly don't skip the Grand Canyon. In Phoenix they have a pretty big mall ( sorry don't know the name of it) that has a roller coaster. At least I think it's still there... I'll have to ask my dad, he lives in Phoenix. If your into it, they have a decent zoo and botanical garden (the garden has a whole bunch af different cactus species) Stay away from Van Buren St at night. Unless you are looking for that kind of ummm... night time entertainment, but then, you'll never know what you might catch! Sedona is awesome,It might be a bit out of your way, but then, so is the Grand Canyon.

It sounds about as exciting as I figured... propably going take the small detour to see the grand canyon on the way back... I guess there would be no beaches... lots of sand though!
