I would also like to know what a good set is... Does anyone clean there blades with the presoaked square thing that comes with it (Suppost to make them last longer). I never really payed attention, but what is the life span of wiper blades? 1 year? 2?

I used Trico (OEM?) and RainX. Both worked great BUT the RainX is softer rubber = better cleaning however it took one off-road with rain + lots of dirt and it became hard. So take your pick. Trico here are about $20 each (ouch) and RainX about $25-30 each (ouch again). I have two sets ... RainX for DD and Trico when I go away to have fun cause it just ends up being cheaper.

The life span on wiper blades is not long because the rubber quickly degrades when in the sun. Not sure how long though.

Actually yes those are good and cheap!!! I totally forgot! The reason why I dont use anymore is also because they go FAST for me. So it doesnt end up being cheap. What are they like a set for $20!?!?! :D I think Costco had them for a while as well.

I replace wiper blades in the spring AND in the fall. I use whatever is available at either NAPA or Autozone. In the fall I switch vehicles to the winter wipers. Price is usually in the $12 to $15 per blade.

Mine don't typically make it through a year. I'm using the rain-x wipers right now for the first time. I really like 'em.
We get torrential thunderstorms down here in the summer, the white-out type of rainstorms with a bit of hail mixed in.
they work better than the bosch wipers.

I use the cheapest ones from Walmart, they are like $3 each. They work great and last as long as any others I have tried Anco, Trico, Bosch, RainX, Michelin. They are a heck of alot cheaper. I even tried the beam style wipers, didn't care for them.

All this gives me 5-6 inches of lift.

Are those replacement blades or including the arms!? I think I am going to have to visit Walmart!

I can't remember the name maybe python, or pylon something like that. They are the whole wiper not just a refill. We sell AC Delco wipers at the dealership I work for $25 each, and thats just a standard blade. The GM OEM ones are like $50 each. Most the new cars coming out these days have vehicle specific beam style blades they are upwards of $75 each.

I use the cheap Teflon coated ones. 5 bucks and they last about a year. Work as well as the rain-x ones I tried. But I also use the rain-x wiper washer which is pretty good. Water just beads right up and is wiped away very easily as the washer fluid applies some rain-x everytime you hit the sprayer.

Ditto on the econo at Wally World.

But then, with high mileage on my 90, the original w'shield has been badly sandblasted so there are lots of pits that the grime gets into that I have to use an SOS pad regularly to remove the grime.
If I don't the blades just smear.
I've tried various washer fluids and none helped the grime issue.
I use the Wally World econo stuff.
