I need to know the judging performance of consumption of fuel for quantity of kilometres of performance of the engine 4.3 V6 of chevy astro van 1988 without modifications with new filters thank you

US EPA states
City 15 MPG = 15.68L/100km = 6.37km/L
Hwy 20 MPG = 11.76L/100km = 8.50km/L
Combo 17 MPG = 13.83L/100km = 7.22km/L

You can also try http://www.fueleconomy.org and plug in your van, and other years for users and government ratings. My numbers are a little worse than above but it's a AWD so that is normal - I have been keeping track and run between 15 and 17L per 100km City.

pretty cool, I ran my '89. I can get the 20 mpg they list for my year model if I keep it at 60 or below on the highway. Managed to do it when gas was $4 a gallon.
'89 Astro, 4.3L, TBI. Minor intake and exhaust mods. Rebuilt 700R4 trans (by me). Corvette servo, 0.5" boost valve, police grade 1-2 accumulator spring (shifts fast and solid). B&M stacked plate trans cooler. Bilstein shocks. Belltech sway bars front and back. New head unit, speakers and subwoofer. Needs paint and a new headliner.
