Broken window latch for a 96 stro
Broken window latch for a 96 stro
How much are they to replace? and where is the best place to find one? is this a good part to get at a wrecking yard?

What part broke?
Yes, this would be fairly easy to get at a junk yard. If you don't have a yard near, take a pic and post. I'll be wondering through a yard on Saturday.

Thanks but my digi cam is missing :( It is the latching mechanism at the bottom of the window that shuts the window and keeps it snug and tight.

Re: Broken window latch for a 96 stro
i've got the same problem on my 2000. i think what i'm going to do is open the factory slots up to where they will fit a snap-in license plate nut.
like one of these guys...![Image](http://images.hardwareandtools.com/P/u290718.jpg)
i intend to glue that snap-in nut into place, then try and find a factory looking screw that will fit the snap-in nut.
i originally tried gluing the holes shut and running the screws in before the glue shut, but it didn't work.
