The time has come
Passing my van onto my friend, hopefully going to encourage him to join here. We'll see, I guess. All things willing, I'm going to try to find another red-headed step-child (a 94 instead of a 95) with AWD but we'll see. I hate how overpriced anything is that says AWD/4WD is here in "Jeep Countr...

Re: What did you do to/with your van today?
Finally swapped out my Heater Control Valve. WOW, what a difference in heat it makes.
Needless to say, the rest of this winter will be MEGA toasty.

Re: Mounts for Rear speakers in a Cargo
You could always go with wood coat hangers and stain it them match the console. That would look pretty tricked out. :poke: No really I'm in the same boat. I have 16X9's in boxes bolted to the floor in back. The sound is pretty good but the boxes are always in the way. I want to mount something in t...

Re: Rear brakes hanging up
Fixed! Turns out it was the drivers side ebrake cable that was hanging it up. Little zip zip withe the grinder and shes all good now.
Rebalanced my rear tires while I was at it. Can't believe how far off they were. And it was Sears that balanced & mounted them 0_o

Re: Midwest hello
Aside from Dexcool (red stuff) which is the devil's nectar, fuel pump issues are pretty common. I always fill when I'm at 1/4, and I've never had issues :) Well, well.... I guess I am one of the gang now. Called the dealer back and inquired about the van and if he would consider an offer I had. He t...

Re: Rear brakes hanging up
Hm. That could be likely the issue. Noticed there was a little patch on top of the rear diff. Not sure where its coming from. Need a slow day to get through everything in the rear, chase down these demons :/

Re: Rear brakes hanging up
Definitely will do, Thanks Gary and Dean!! I'm thinking if, once they're lubed up and back together, they're not grabbing enough to stop it when rotating the tires by hand, I may give it a week to see if they're still hanging on me. It doesn't happen every time when I go to take off from being parke...

Re: Rear brakes hanging up
I meant to add that he did rotors, pads, and both rear drums, just wasn't quick enough on edit
I'm thinking he replaced & cleaned hw back there. How hard / expensive is e-brake cable to change?

Rear brakes hanging up
Searched on here a lil and I kind of found a few people with brake issues but nothing really like mine. I recently (last month) had a shop go through and do lines (heh) all the way around, and then a different trusted mechanic did the fronts (loaded calipers and rotors) I kind of trust the shop, and...

Niiiice!!! Thinking much the same here, just have to get my paws on a tdi Golf to prove to the SO that it can be done What would converting to rack & pinion steering do for your clearance issues? X2, was wondering that myself. Loving this thread so far. Super curious about going diesel myself, i...

Loving this thread so far. Super curious about going diesel myself, if only to do a greaser conversion kit. Free fuel? Yes please! I'll gladly take care of your used veggie oil ^^

Re: Mounts for Rear speakers in a Cargo
http://i.imgur.com/Bva8f7Ol.jpg has my lows covered (15" vented sub) I'm looking to just fill in my mids and high freq's a bit more right now. Now you've got me thinking about replacing my stockers all with 16x9's, maybe even moving them a bit further forward (perpendicular to the slider on bo...
