Yes, quite recently. The SES light was on and the ODBII system was reporting a random cylinder misfire. GM has a TBS about sticky fuel injection poppets with the solution being them running a solvent through the system. Instead of paying the dealer to fix it I decide to try the Seafoam solution. Followed the instructions, had to transfer some to a smaller container to pour it into the throttle body while running, let the van sit for 5 minute, then drove it to the gas station as the tank was near empty, put in 12 gallons and dumped the rest of the Seafoam in the tank. Started the van to drive back home and the check engine light turned off. Been a couple weeks now, I'm completely happy with the results thus far.

Yep. 1st time I used it was in my snowmobiles when I'd put them away each spring while living in upper Michigan.

Since then, I've been a regular user/customer in all my vehicles, lawnmowers, weed-whackers... name it. That bit of naphtha that it contains does a great job on varnish in a fuel system & carbon/soot in an EGR system or intake.

I used a bottle on ZZ but I don't think it did any good. I was aiming mostly towards de-carbonizing my combustion chambers & piston tops. I have a slight ping at hotter engine temps at low speeds. I know the engine likes to carbon up to begin with. I guess I should pour a couple more bottles down her gullet and in her tank....just to be sure :-k

we had the seafoam rep come in and explain it all and demo it for us. i'd heard of it years before, it's really on only been available in Canada the last couple of years though.

So far, I've tried it in the 93 astro, the 94 astro, the 00 dakota 4.7L, the 99 astro, the 99 4L cherokee, and I have yet to notice a change in anything on any of the vehicles I've used it in.

my opinion: it's a good gimmic that teaches people that when they see smoke that means cleaning. when really, it's just a product causes smoke when it burns that has the same cleaning ingredients as any TB or carb cleaner with a little dab of smoke making tossed in for effect.
snake oil sales have been around for who knows how long.... this is just one for your vehicle.

that's my 2 cents.

I only notice a difference when I pour 1/3 can down the TBI with the engine warm. Shut off the engine and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, then take it out on the road at highway speeds. The more carbon in your engine the more white smoke comes out. Pour the rest in the gas tank. When I only use it in the gas tank I do not notice any difference.

well some of you may have seen my question about replacing a TPS here --> Image

anyhow, I was nearly down to 1/4 of a tank and was refusing to start replacing things to try and correct my hesitation problem. I bit the bullet and sprayed some seafoam into the TB. less than 1/4 of a can. I also dumped the remainder into the tank. let it sit for 15min and went for a drive. I immediately noticed the hesitation gone. yeah, gone. #-o

later that day I went to the pumps and filled the tank with gas and was on my way. 3 days and a few short drives later the hesitation is still gone and it's got it's power back.

although, I don't still don't see seafoam as a 'fix-all' for any problems.. I will say it so far has corrected mine. whether it was dirty injectors, bad gas or something to that effect. again.. earlier I posted that I've used seafoam in several other vehicles with no noticable change in anything. in this case, it worked.
