Factory Crossover Location

Post by Ruckus »

On the 04 astros with speakers in the d pillars and in the rear doors there is a crossover that only allows bass to play through the rear door speakers. I know this because today I installed new coaxial speakers in the rear doors and unpluged the pillar speakers. I am only getting bass out of these speakers. I'd like to bypass the facotry corssover and get full range out of the rear door speakers. Does anyone know the location of this corssover? Thanks

Okay all fixed. The box is located under the panel in back of the drivers seat and in front of the left side sheel well. Remove the 6 bolts holding the window flip out and the one screw under the drivers seat belt and the panel pulls out and the amp/crossover is accessable. Splice all the wires together and everything works perfect. Hope this helps someone in the future.

If possible could you take some pics of this for future reference?

It might be a few days but I can take some pics of the part removed and where it came from with some basic instructions
