99 GMC Safari Stumbling
Re: 99 GMC Safari Stumbling
I bought a fuel pump from Global Automotive (Kevin Simmons) on ebay and less than a month later, had to replace it. Turns out it was a fraud look-a-like pump and I never did get my money back. I ended up having to pay for another OEM pump to be installed just a month later. All in all, I think I spent about $1400. UGH! If I am ever in Miami, I'm paying that son of a !@#$% a visit.

Sorry to hear that. I bought a $30 fuel pump assembly rebuild kit of him for Grumpy. Cheap and works so far. We'll see how long it lasts.

Re: 99 GMC Safari Stumbling
I appreciate everybodies answers but so far no dice. A little ways back we had a no start problem with the van and it was the relay so I replaced both (AC & Fuel) just to be safe. A wife with no AC is dangerous. I am slowly leaning towards a failing fuel pump even though I put a new one in it in Jan. I had to take it to a shop as I can't work on it at this time and they have a Chevy Suburban doing the same thing and so far they haven't figured it out yet. Also as of this date it has never cut the engine off, it just acts like its running out of fuel. Could the fuel pressure regulator be hanging open and not holding enough pressure after running for a bit and then when turned off pop back to its seated position? Just fishing for ideas no matter how crazy. Thanks for all the replies.
