The van does feel a bit gutless, but then again it is an 91 and I'm coming from driving a turbo audi, so that's to be expected. I drove a co-workers 01 the other day, and while it felt a bit faster than the one I'm looking at, it wasn't signifigant, which made me feel better. As far as the AWD vs. RWD goes, I absolutely have to have AWD since I'm moving to Denver and do a lot of skiing.

Anyway, after meeting the super nice lady and driving the van, I offered her 1100 bucks (asking price was 1500, down from 2500) and she accepted. I should pick it up tomorrow night. Super stoked. Expect pics as I build an awesome car camping setup into the back. Did I mention that I'm excited? :P

You definitely are correct about the Audi to Astro.(Have a friend with an A6) but consider the money saved on speeding tickets.
and a big HELL YEA!! on the purchase of the '91. Great deal wow! While you don't need AWD in Denver proper (snow never stays) you will if going to the mts :supz: Good luck and look to see pics of the progress on the van.

Seems pretty solid so far. The transmission downshifts a bit on steep hills, but I've never had an automatic vehicle before, so I'm not sure if this is SOP. Other than the slight dog smell, this thing is cherry. Sunday I'm ripping the interior out w/ my pops and starting to build some sweet stuff.

Satisfaction.
