rear doors

Post by the beast »

having a problem shutting the rear doors of my 95 astro, it needs a real heavy slam to shut and about 3 or 4 attempts before I'm successful, its getting a bit embarrassing.

was wondering if anybody else has had this problem and what can be done to overcome it adjustment wise.

When was the last time that the latches were lubricated? If they're dry, it will require an act of Congress in order to close them.

Spray lithium grease is available. Try that.

Also,,if the door stops have been removed the door hinge area gets out of shape from doors being opened to far and can cause the problem you're having. The fix,,a tough one.
