91 gas tank fit 99?
Ok, stoning can commence shortly. First I need to ask if a brand new gas tank in my 91 astro awd will fit my newly aquired 99 astro awd. I checked part numbers and they are off by 1. Doesn't sound like much but I've been stupid too many times in past! Didn't know if anyone could shed light on this for me. NOW, when I get enough time to poop and sit down I will introduce you all to my new ride properly with pics etc but for now I'm just trying to figure what parts to save before things go down the road. Thanks, Kelly

The difference between the two is the hole that the pump and sender fit into. The 99 has the plastic module and the locking ring for it is different than the earlier non module type. I know this because I just changed the one in my 98 and noticed the difference.

Re: 91 gas tank fit 99?
Thanks Guys! I listed my van on Craigs List and sold it in about 15 minutes! Couldn't believe it! So the point is mute, it's over!
