Rancho 7112

Post by Slicky »

So after adding a bit more lift to my van it occurred to me that the stock height Bilsteins needed to be replaced . I tried to order some 5100 series Bils and found out they were on back order until July so I decided to try the Rancho rs 7112 mt . It was a bit of a gamble as far as the damping goes but the good news is they ride nice . Seat of the pants feel they are just a hair less stiff than the Bilsteins hds that came off. So there is another option for lifted van rear shocks with stock shock mounts .

Glad to hear you decided to give the monotube RS7112 a try and that they worked out for you! Any pics?

I was distracted by the discovery of my leaky water pump when I was installing the shocks so I forgot to take some pictures but as you have said in another post the overall build quality is not on par with Bilsteins but I do like the ride that the Ranchos are providing .
