2003 astro started whewn I picked it up wont now

So just got back from an 8 + hour trip and 560 miles later from picking up my new to me 2003 astro. Started it up and it ran great, drove it on the trailer and brought it home. Went to start it up to take it off the trailer and it wont start. after you stop turning the key it like fires on a cylinder or 2 weak and that is it? The roads were bumpy in many spots and it rained the entird way back. Any ideas?

Check spark... sounds like it has some... and fuel pressure. Is the fuel pump priming when you first turn the key on? (It's loud enough to hear it prime and when the engine is running.)

Get this. I am thinking its the fuel pump so I open the gas lid to see how the fill pipe comes out and guess what, NO CAP, some Bashterd stole it when I was in a store for 5 minuets on the way home. Ran and got one, tank pressurizes and the van starts just like when I picked it up!! Got some birdy tweets though, water pump. Idler or tentioner. I will check it out tomorrow!! In the mean time I have to move that drivers seat back about 5" lol

Gas cap? Really? Good catch and congrats on a quick and easy fix. Hope eradicating the chirps goes as smoothly
