Hi Everyone,
Happy Thanksgiving,
My 2003 Lifted Astro with 30" Cooper’s has np231C. Manual shifted t case.
3.42 axle ratios,
It has been fun to install off road goodies such as Nerf bars, 2x2 steel sub frame extenders connect to rear leafs, big front bumper, Warn Winch,
And aluminum skid plates. The skid plates are great, but my small front engine oil leak seems to puddle up on the front skid plate and I can smell it burning off.
It is funny how lazy I am to get small oil leaks fixed, but I better do it one of theses days.
I need to remove front skid plate and isolate the oil leak.

Re: Engine oil leak drips onto front skid plate
Hi Again,
Sorry about the multiple posts. I was using my iPad and the Wi-Fi showed error so I kept Submitting.
Anyway, I have photos of my oil pan and front timing chain cover area.
The small oil leak seems to be coming from the front timing chain cover. Looks like a lot of work to get cover off. I wonder if I can just clean off oil and
apply silicone seal on the outside to slow/stop the leak?
thank you,
AP
