Hello from rural Kentucky

Post by DGrason »

I just now found this forum and I'm thrilled to find a place where I can interact with other van owners. My van is a 92 GMC G2500 Vandura. It's really important to keep this old girl running because it's my mobility van.... meaning, it carries my wheelchair. A new mobility van is north of $100,000 and many used ones are $20,000 plus. ...way too rich for me. And besides, when the old GMC is doing fine, why even consider another?

I am looking for a set of sway bars of at least 1.25" in diameter in order to help control my van's driveability. (now THERE is a big word for a Kentucky boy) Strong winds push me all over the road. In addition, rural KY has thousands of miles of narrow twisty roads and I would just really like some extra sway control to make driving these roads more comfy. i'm wondering if sway bars from a motorhome will fit.

Anyway, nice to be here and I hope to be a good contributing member.

Welcome to the forum.
Hellwig makes sway bars that could possibly be adapted to your van.

Check LMC truck parts. They have a few parts for the G van.
