Good Afternoon.
My van--a 1995 GMC G2500 Vandura with 125" WB and the 5.7L V8 gasoline engine--has a major power steering leak. I have dropped it off at the mechanic, whose investigations have concluded that the power steering pump is leaking, and that there may also be leaks in the hoses and steering box. His recommendation is to proceed with replacing the pump and hoses, and then steam-clean the area to better evaluate for leaks before replacing the steering box. This seems reasonable to me.
The problem is that the mechanic is unable to find the correct replacement part. Apparently my power steering system is unusual, insofar as it has an external reservoir but is also un-boosted.
Looking around at parts shops online, I am also unable to locate a power steering pump that matches the picture (attached) that was sent to me by the mechanic.
If anybody could point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged.

Re: Which Power Steering Pump Do I Have?
After some more searching, I came across this part: https://partshawk.com/acdelco-36-0057-p ... -pump.html
It looks pretty close to me.
However, it is listed as being for a 1996-2005 Astro/Safari. Is it at all possible that this part may have been used on my 1995 Vandura?

Thank you very much, MountainManJoe!
Those search results contain multiple options that look similar to the one currently installed. I will send the link to the mechanic, and use RockAuto as a resource going forward.
If you don't mind my asking, how did you determine that searching for part number 26022617 was the way to go?

Thank you for your wealth of knowledge and your very prompt replies.
https://charm.li/ is another resource I will make use of in the future. I have been working on my own cars for years, but I was completely unaware of it.
You are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you for taking the time.

Re: Which Power Steering Pump Do I Have?
Thank you for your reply, VelocityVerve. I had not considered either option, but will certainly consider them now. I will be in touch with the mechanic tomorrow when they re-open for business, to see if the part number above has lead them to any solutions.
I have not had any problems sourcing parts for the van in the past. This is an unexpected hurdle, which I suspect may be due to the fact that 1995 was the final model year for this van, possibly leading to unusual manufacturing decisions as they transitioned over to a newer platform.
I'll keep this thread updated as I proceed, in case it can help someone else in the future.
