Factory stereo amp?

I have a 2008 gmc savana explorer conversion. I am wondering where gm put the factory amplifier on these vans? Or were they only intragrated in the head unit?

Looks like the Explorer conversion company is still in business. Have you tried asking them directly?

I did send an email today. Just waiting on response. Thank you for the welcome. Not many answers on the net about these vans or im not asking the right questions

GM / Chevy did build quite a few Vans ( and other models / styles ) with a factory amp to separate ( lower frq. "woofer" ) door speakers from pillar-mounted midrange or tweeters.
The M / L Vans, Astro and Safari had it mounted just beyond the drvr. sd. gas filler attached to the sheet metal.
Not sure of the years, but it was 2005 or earlier.

sorry, I misread the question. I don't think your year came with a separate amplifier from the factory. If it did , then you'll find drawings/schematics/service info for it on gmupfitter.com or charm.li


If it does have one, then there's a good chance it was installed by the upfitter company.
