If everything comes together I'll have a 97 in my driveway in about a week or two.

a guy on the jeep site I belong to dropped a 4.3L HO into his 86 cherokee but needed a tranny. he found this 97 with 222kms. pulled the trans, will be pulling the wheels/tires, mirrors, brake booster and steering box once it get's to it's final destination (hopefully my driveway).

it's in good shape.. and I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with it exactly. The previous owner replaced the main bearings but the engine (although running), knocks. I'm going to try my luck and see if I can't sort it out cheaply. If I can, I'll be looking for another tranny and see if I cant get it on the road. If I can't, at least I'll have some spare parts.

here's what I've seen of it so far... now I'll just have to figure out how to get it home (towed) from 1.5hrs north of where I live... I'm in Woodstock and the van is in Palmerston..

yeah.. we'll soon see. I'm still waiting to hear back from the owner about when I can get it picked up. I'm going to need a bigger driveway.
