I just did last night. I was at a friends house durning a pretty bad ice storm. Around 2A.M. I braved it and made the 40min drive home, safe and sound. Thanks to my vans killer AWD system. So yeah, I did give it a little hug when I made it home.

YA..........I hug my van. It's an integral part of my ballooning adventures. It does exactly what it's supposed to do without any complaints. And that's the reason it gets anything it needs without any hesitation from me.

So for all you with the stock 2 1/4"-1/2" pipes ... I guess we got a size problem eh? What is the smurf when you need him ...

Yeah I give her hugs ... some are intentional ... even my GF gives her hugs and pats. Then there are the ones that are NOT intentional ... aka ice and holding on gorceries and slip ... face first into her heh he...

For me, I voted "You're sick....".
Yes. There are times I would state that "I love my AWD Safari van" (like driving in deep snow, driving on soft sand beach heads and hauling lots of stuff around) but as a general statement, "my van is a van". Nothing more. It's an object that goes from from point A to point B. Its made to serve a purpose in life and making me `madly in-love with an object` isn't one of them. It's a vehicle - that can be destoryed and/or replaced within seconds - just like any other vehicle on our busy / wreckless roads.
And when my 2001 AWD van needs to be replaced, I'll be getting another van as well. Yes. Another mini-van - for my current family and minor cargo / untility trailer towing hauling needs. Maybe a GM van (like '08 Uplander) or some other "use it, then throw it away" van-like vehicle. Only time will tell what replacement vehicle we pick. Currently, I do know that my AWD Safari van is only a vehicle. People always have much higher value then an object (like a vehicle). But then again, that's just me... BTW: My van is probably my 12th vehicle in life. And, there will my many future replacement vehicles as well...

Well since you asked. Im running the new super silverstars for low beams, a pair of hella 500's pencil beams and piaa 2100 fogs.
I'll grab some pics soon, the weather has been foul, my van is gross and I want to make a good first impression.

Re: Would you hug your van
Sorry to sound "so cold" WVKayaker. Guess I've been around the block too many times...
To me, my van is only an object. A material thing and most of the time, "it keeps going and going - like an old Singer sewing machine". It isn't the funnest to drive, it isn't the best on gas and at times, it isn't the smoothest across the bumps either. It's "a thing" under my tail (sort of speaking) that gets me from Point A to Point B - just like my many other previous vehicles. If needed, I'd walk away from my Safari van and never shed a tear. There's much better things in life to cry about... But that's just me...
