On my '96 Safari it's behind the panel at the left rear just inside the door.

Yeah really Gary...what are you, the public liaison between a camping forum and here? You asked about a 96 or 98 the other day and now a 95...you don't even own one this new.

Current rides:
2013 Toyota Tundra DC 4x4
2008 Dodge Nitro 4x4
2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S Special Edition
Mileage spreadsheet
Vans owned:
1986 Safari 2.5L 4 speed manual - scrapped
1995 Astro 2WD conversion 4.11 posi, shift kit, DHC rock rails - sold to Skippy
1998 Astro 4x4 D44, D60, NP231, full hydraulic system with 9k# Milemarker winch and snow plow - sold to Lockdoc
2003 Astro AWD all stock - traded for a 3/4 ton truck
2005 AWD, 4.10's - sold to skippy

Re: 1995 Astro rear a/c
you shouldn't have to ask as you can plainly see it in the back of the van.
I'm always careful to not block the vents when carrying stuff back there.

Has nothing to do with any camping forum.
Thanks guys for the help.
If I may ask, seems the coolant has to travel quite a long distance and on only one compressor, how well do these rear A/C's work??.

Re: 1995 Astro rear a/c
Gary, You have to remember there's a lot of cubic feet of area to cool. It's a bit much for just the front unit. Especially here in FL where the summer temps inside a vehicle can reach close to 200. Not only does the AC have to cool the air it has to overcome everything in the van that's also heated. I don't think the front only unit would be efficient enough to do the job. The dual AC in my van does a respectable job.

Mine is awesome and rarely do I have the back on anything above "low". I've been in the desert with temps of 115° too!
Two items that really impress me about these vans is front seat comfort and a/c . Both are terrific.
