Adding middle window glass to Cargo

Post by PureRockFury »

Has anyone ever installed a window for the middle-section, driver's-side on a cargo? (I hope this isn't sacrilegious). If so, how extensive is the prospect? Is this a pull it at the junk-yard, cut and fit project, or something much more involved?

Thanks!

I don't have any direct experience with this, but I would think this is very common in the van conversion world - they are often built on cargo/windowless vans so that they can use bigger windows with screens, etc.

I agree.A conversion van place does things like that all the time.Might be best left to a shop like that.

I do not like conversion van windows...

I think they ruin the van.

All that window, with a lil screen opening.

Sucks

There are tons of window styles you can go with. A conversion van place will do it for you or anyplace reputable for putting in sunroofs. I personally like the slider windows that are full height. They are similar to the Westfalia windows.

Here's a site with some options to choose from, I have not done work with them so no promises on their services or quality. http://www.crlaurence.com/crlapps/showl ... 2086&pom=0

Don't forget to add a little style with a bubble or a diamond window for the rear quarters. It will impress the ladies...
