Overhead Console
Poppin' in again. same day. Hey does any place still make the overhead front consoles to mount stuff in. Back in the daze when I had my 78 Dodge van {purchaced new} I did a complete interior etc....vannin' magazines were all over the news racks and you could get all kinds a goodies for your van. Seems vans kinda died out for awhile. With the Astro being a mini van there isn't alot of width and as much height of windshield room.anybody hear of any on the market or possibly have a template for one? I was just lookin to mount my CB, cop radio, and would like to also put an aftermarket radio up there and free up the old radio space for a set of real guages....any ideas???

Do you mean something like this?
"I have a torque wrench and I am not afraid to use it."

GOOD SITE Justice--Yeah the older days there seemed to be alot of items, your 88 like my 78 were full size and many people were doing up custom interiors, guess with gas prices the minivan [hate the term] evolved. This is my second Stro and I have plans for a third before they begin to disappear. I have the creativity to make a console--just no time. Today with integrated circuit stuff my CB shrunk to the size of a vcr movie cassette and my scanner weighs less than 1 pound. Sunroofs were the thing...........
